Media darling, Taylor Hall, creates a buzz in Edmonton
John: Taylor Hall, one of the top two NHL draft picks, met with the Edmonton Oilers yesterday. His whirlwind visit to Edmonton resulted in an assignment from The Canadian Press, that presented me a front row seat with the future NHL star. I can’t say that I have any opinion of who the Oilers should choose – Taylor, or his main rival Tyler Seguin – but, I can tell you (no newsflash here) this is going to be one heck of an interesting season. Technical notes: Because I like to avoid flash on news jobs, my Nikon D700 bodies were set at a luxurious ISO 3200, and I alternated amongst 14-24mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses.
